Q5 celebrates the 5th anniversary of our Leeds office opening

In 2019, we opened a Leeds office to help grow the business across the North of England. Since then, we have successfully worked on more than 50 organisational health programmes with large local employers and trusted brands.

Settling roots in the local community

Thanks to our rapid growth and commitment to the local community, the number of employees working in our Leeds office has increased tenfold over the last 5 years. This extraordinary growth led to an office move and further expansion.

Our commitment to being a local does not stop at opening an office in Leeds. We want to be part of it. That is why, through the Q5 Foundation, we involved ourselves in the local community and made a difference by organising pro-bono consulting initiatives. Participating in those events allowed us to provide valuable organisational health advice to local businesses such as Huddersfield Town Football Club, Leeds University Union, Ahead Partnership, and Leeds Make Impact. Moreover, during this time, we have proudly supported our charity partners Leeds Learning Alliance and CATCH Leeds, further cementing our presence in the local community.

Additionally, we have recently hosted events in Leeds, including “How M&A can navigate the twists and turns of the UK economic climate” in partnership with Partners&, and “Bridging the Gap: The Future of Multigenerational Work” held at Brew Society in Leeds, in partnership with Partners& and Connect Yorkshire.

Our successes with clients across the North

Opening an office in Leeds allowed Q5 to expand its client base across The North of England. It led to us supporting large local employers and trusted brands. A few of the clients we have worked with since being present in the city include HSBC, NHS Digital, Yorkshire Water, Sheffield Forgemasters, and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Working with these organisations has allowed us to deepen our understanding of the local business ecosystem. This knowledge put us in a strong position; we are now among the most trusted organisational health consultancies. It’s important to note we would not have achieved this success without being involved in the local community.

Future plans

Since opening our office in Leeds, we have immersed ourselves in the local community, and that is not about to stop. Our office in Leeds is more than ever part of our plans for the future of the business. We want to continue supporting the local community by being part of it, helping clients improve their organisational health, and supporting not-for-profit and small businesses. These objectives align with our growth plans for the larger business and our overall purpose of building healthier organisations to propel people, economies, and society forward.

Olly Purnell, Founder and Managing Partner commented, “It’s been a source of great pride that Q5 has grown an outstanding team in Leeds over the last 5 years. Our consultants have worked on some fantastic projects with local businesses, and our ‘Pop Up’ consulting service has provided some exceptional support to Yorkshire-based charities too.”
