Mental health and wellbeing is an essential topic for Q5 globally and has become an important part of our culture and way of working. Q5ers in our New York office have collaborated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City (NAMI NYC) since 2019. The NYC team participated in expertly delivered mental health awareness training led by Matt Kudish, NAMI NYC’s Executive Director. We also provided pro bono consulting support and helped revise their three-year strategic plan and including a drafted implementation plan.
NAMI NYC serves the New York Metropolitan area and offers support, programmes and services to family, friends and caregivers dealing with mental health issues. All programs and services, including classes, support groups, public education events, their hotline, and learning programs are available free of charge to anyone who needs them. They also offer consulting services and training to organizations looking to improve how their leaders and colleagues address mental well-being in the workplace.
