Q5’s commitment to achieving Net Zero

At Q5 we are committed to Net Zero emissions by 2035.

Our Net Zero target includes long-term and interim reduction targets created in line with science-based principles.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

  • Improving the quality and accuracy of our carbon data, using an automatic integration to Flotilla’s emissions calculation platform
  • Refreshing our business travel policy, to ensure essential travel only and continuing virtual working where possible
  • Maximising recycling and reducing waste across our offices
  • Building awareness through our sustainability materiality assessment & report
  • Refreshing our offsetting approach to focus on investing in removal technologies rather than neutrality
  • Reducing individual impact through:
    • Continued partnership with Octopus Electric Vehicles for EV leasing
    • Reducing car use through the Cycle to Work Scheme

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Validate our reduction targets through SBTi
  • Introduce a travel cap
  • Improve supplier data gathering, including hotels and travel, to move from spend-based to activity-based measurement
  • Develop a low-carbon procurement policy & supplier list for our top five spend categories, including:
    • Continue building sufficient scale in all offices to reduce the need for international travel
