Q5’s commitment to achieving Net Zero

At Q5 we are committed to Net Zero emissions by 2035.

Our Net Zero target includes long-term and interim reduction targets created in line with SBTI guidance.

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

We are working on the following initiatives:

  • While we have taken the SBTi principles and approach to our targets, in 2023 we will formally submit our intent letter to SBTi
  • Working to validate our data so that this can form part of our regular review and governance going forwards
  • Reducing individual emissions through Electric vehicles
  • Reducing car use through Cycle Scheme
  • Maximising recycling and reducing waste across our offices

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • In 2025 when our energy contract is open for renegotiation, we will work with our landlords to move to a renewable energy contract
  • We continue to work on recruitment in our overseas offices to reduce the need for UK staff to travel for projects
  • We are looking to make further modifications to our policies to promote the use of ‘low carbon’ travel e.g. trains to continental Europe
  • Create and mandate the use of a ‘net zero supplier’ list
