Adam is a Senior Principal at Q5 who has recently returned to the business following a period working in-house for the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, where he was responsible for leading the team designing and developing the operating models of new Arm’s Length Bodies such as Great British Energy and the Warm Homes Agency.
Before joining Q5, Adam started his career on the graduate scheme at Sainsbury’s, becoming an Area HR Manager after which he held roles in HR Policy and Business Partnering at UCL and LSE.
Adam’s consulting experience spans a wide range of organisations across sectors including UK Government, organisations within NHS Wales, charities and non-governmental organisations such as Christian Aid, specialty chemicals and retailers including Kingfisher, Matalan, Pandora and Selfridges. Adam’s work covers a wide range of organisation design and development, change and transformation projects, where he blends theory and practice together to help solve client challenges.
Adam holds a BSc in Social Policy with Government from the London School of Economics and an MSc with distinction in Organisational Psychology. Adam is a qualified HR professional and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Outside of work, Adam spent eight years as a councillor for a leading local authority, where he held two senior appointments in the administration, including as Cabinet Member for Public Services Reform.
Adam lives in South Wales, where he enjoys exploring everything the Welsh countryside has to offer (but please don’t mention the rugby).
