Our fresh approach to consultancy has not gone unnoticed. Our expert, no-nonsense yet collaborative approach has won us a series of awards over our short history both for projects, working practices and exceptional growth. In April 2019, we were honoured with a Queen's award for International Trade from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We were also accredited as “extraordinary” by The Sunday Times Best Companies for our work with News UK and were named the best small consultancy to work for by The Sunday Times.
The Queen's Award for International Trade
Q5 was honoured in 2019 with a Queen's Award for our contribution to International Trade. The award has extra-special resonance as it fell upon the 10th anniversary of our firm.
The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2018
Q5 was named the 20th best small company to work for in the UK in 2018. We were especially pleased to have the second highest score in the UK for "colleagues caring for each other".
Q5 was named the 34th best small company to work for in the UK in 2016 by The Sunday Times, the highest ranked consultancy on the list. The judges highlighted the collegiate atmosphere and the support for Q5ers with mentors advising on work, career and pastoral issues as well as the open and honest environment.
Our consultancy was awarded the Best Companies three star “extraordinary” accreditation, which acknowledges excellence in the workplace.
Claudia Winkelman presented Q5 with the prestigious Consultancy of the Year award at the Personnel Today Awards, one of the main awards ceremonies for the UK’s HR profession. Category judge Tea Colainanni of Merlin Entertainments praised our work, saying we were a “good consultancy that listens to the brief and responds to it”.
A week before winning at the Personnel Today awards, Q5 won best change management programme at the Training Journal Awards for our work with News UK on Newsroom 360, the three-year transformation of the company’s systems and working practices.
At the 2014 GBE Awards, Q5 won the prize for outstanding fast-growth business. The chair of the judges pointed to the seven-fold increase in turnover over the previous five years in such a competitive industry. “Its ‘trusted advisor’ approach backed by a balanced team of specialists and generalists has proved highly successful with 80% of work coming from referrals or additional assignments from existing clients,” he said. “Delivering change to large organisations is a major challenge, so very well done to Q5 for helping its clients find new and more successful ways of working.”
We were delighted to be awarded Best New Consultancy at the Management Consultancies Association awards in 2013.
